A breath away from extinction, the Grand Cayman Blue Iguana relies on a breeding program to maintain its claim as the island’s largest native land animal. During this enriching experience, you will partake in a critical project to ensure their survival. First, you will be briefed by a Jean-Michel Cousteau Ambassadors of the Environment naturalist on the plight of these “blue dragons” endemic to Grand Cayman. You will then participate in volunteer activities, assigned by the park warden Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park. Activities are seasonal and may include looking for nests and eggs, painting fences at the facility or iguana tracking. Minimum age 12.

Child $50 USD

Fee covers transportation to the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park and a donation to the Blue Iguana Recovery Program.
