For your convenience, we have compiled answers to common questions you may find helpful in choosing the types of treatment that best meet your individual needs or desires.
Can I use the spa without a treatment?
A $25 facility fee gives resort guests unlimited day access to the spa facilities, including locker rooms, Relaxation Lounges, Healing Waters, Spa Terrace with Spa Cafe Menu, and Wellness Center. The fee is waived for all guests receiving treatments.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you must cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify us at least four hours before your scheduled appointment time to avoid being a charged the full value of your service. Spa packages must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance.
What about payment for spa services?
We accept all major credit cards and travelers checks, or spa services can be charged to your hotel room or member account. For your convenience, payment is accepted prior to your treatments upon request. Please present any discount or gift vouchers and gift certificates upon arrival. Discounts are not valid on Spa Packages, promotions, special events or holidays and can not be combined with any other discount
What about gratuities?
For your convenience, a 20 percent service charge will be added to your service. If you choose, you may opt to leave additional gratuity for your therapist.
What if I am late for my appointment?
Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be charged.
Are gift certificates available from The Spa?
Absolutely! You may purchase gift certificates from the spa concierge for any specific dollar amount.
Who can guide me in choosing my treatments?
The Spa Concierge staff are available to assist you in planning your perfect Spa experience, including the best order and combination of treatments.
Is there a minimum age for treatments?
Guests must be at least 16 years of age to experience a Spa treatment. If under the age of 18, treatments will only be performed when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in the treatment room.
Can young guests use the fitness center?
Guests ages 16 - 18 may use the Wellness Center facilities with parental authorization. Younger guests, ages 12 - 15 may use the Wellness Center when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Can I use the Spa if I am not a hotel guest?
The Ritz-Carlton Members Spa Club in an exclusive facility available only to Members of The Ritz-Carlton Members Club and guests of the resort. For information on our Day Spa, please dial 941-309-2090.
When should I arrive?
For your enhanced comfort and relaxation, we suggest that you arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled treatment to experience our Healing Waters facility and Relaxation Lounges.
What should I wear during my treatment?
Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing, however, please wear whatever makes you comfortable. During all treatments the body is fully draped except for the area being worked on. Robes and slippers are provided in the Locker Lounge.
What about my jewelry and valuables?
If you are staying at the hotel, please leave valuable items in the safe in your guest room. Otherwise, lockers are available for personal items.
Should I shave before a treatment?
Shaving is recommended but not necessary for men prior to a facial. If you chose to shave prior to your facial, please do so at least two hours before your appointment. Shaving is not recommended prior to body treatments or hair removal services.
What about my comfort?
This is your time, and you should delight in the experience to the fullest. Whether it's the room temperature, the amount of massage pressure or the volume of the music, please notify us of any discomforts or preferences. We do require that cell phones and pagers be turned off in The Spa.
What if I have special health considerations?
Please notify our Spa Concierge before booking your treatments if you have high blood pressure, allergies, any other physical ailments or disabilities, or if you are pregnant (see next question). If you have any concerns at all, please let us know. If at any time during your services you experience discomfort, please alert your therapist immediately.
What if I am pregnant?
While there are a few services that should be avoided during pregnancy, there are many beneficial treatments that can be enjoyed. Please notify our Spa Concierge if you are pregnant when you make your appointments so that they can offer guidance.
