Originating in Kyoto, kaiseki is considered to be the ultimate expression of Japanese cuisine. At Mizuki, kaiseki is based on the Japanese tradition of Go-mi, Go-syoku, Go-ho (five flavors, five colors, five cooking methods). Exquisitely prepared small dishes are presented on tableware designed by contemporary artists.

Served on an 11-meter counter table surfaced in Wajima lacquer, our elegant sushi courses are prepared Edo-style by our resident sushi master. Experience the art of sushi at its most refined.

Seated at a massive granite counter, diners are served tempura Kappo-style, in which the chef prepares the food directly in front of his guests. Our skilled tempura chefs focus on the freshest local and seasonal ingredients.

The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto invites guests to experience exquisite private dining at Teppan Mizuki. Our restaurant chefs prepare fresh, flavorful steaks and seafood in an intimate, open kitchen environment, using a traditional iron griddle. Teppan Mizuki can be reserved for private gatherings of up to eight people.
