Enjoy a Night (or Two) of Michelin Stars at Penha Longa Resort

Sintra, April 9 — With two Michelin-starred restaurants — Midori and LAB by Sergi Arola — Penha Longa Resort presents a difficult choice for connoisseurs of outstanding cuisine.

The solution? The resort has curated a series of gastronomic experiences that include one or two nights of luxury suite accommodation as well as private transfers.

“Now there is no need to contemplate which restaurant you want to enjoy. You can enjoy one or both as well as savour a wonderful night or two overlooking the natural wonder of the Sintra Mountains,” says Resort General Manager David Martinez.

“We are exceptionally proud of Midori and LAB and we see both restaurants as continuing a long tradition of culinary excellence that dates back to when the Portuguese Royal Family used Penha Longa as a relaxing summer retreat in the 16th century.”

Midori is renowned as Portugal’s oldest Japanese restaurant. In 2017 it was completely reimagined by Chef Pedro Almeida and reopened as an intimate venue for just 18. Last year the restaurant received its first Michelin star.

Meanwhile, LAB by Sergi Arola, became the resort’s first Michelin-starred restaurant in 2016. With its dramatic open kitchen, mountain views and glass-block 550-bottle wine cellar, LAB is described by the Michelin Guide as “a unique, authentic and intimate restaurant with a difference, where the inspiration is provided by the personality of its celebrity Spanish chef.”
