The Luxury Sarasota Resort Unveils Beachside Restaurant Exclusive for Guests and Members

SARASOTA, FL – November 2017 – Situated on the white sand beaches along the Gulf of Mexico, The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota’s Beach Club at Lido Key unveils a full renovation of its interiors along with the debut of its new restaurant, Ridley’s Porch. The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota’s private oceanfront oasis, beckons guests to spend the day relaxing on the beach, sipping poolside cocktails, or enjoying a casual meal overlooking one of the world’s most beautiful sunsets.

The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota enlisted Florida-based design firm, Marzipan, to refresh The Beach Club at Lido Key, tying in the casual elegance that they brought to the resort two years ago with a full property reimagination. Designed to resemble a seaside beach home, the languid ambiance of the restaurant speaks to long lazy summer days with cool hues of blues, soft creams and natural woods.

Available exclusively for members and hotel guests, Ridley’s Porch elevates The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota’s existing culinary offerings with prime oceanfront views, hand crafted cocktails and a fresh take on local favorite dishes. Aptly named after the Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle that nest on the sand of the resort’s private beach, guests will find strong ties to the local environment within the restaurant from it’s relaxed décor to culinary and cocktail offerings supporting local organizations.

“Ridley’s Porch tells a story our ladies & gentlemen are excited to share with our members and guests,” said Damien O’Riordan, General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota. “With our first restaurant Jack Dusty being a pioneer within The Ritz-Carlton brand and a culinary destination in Sarasota, we are excited to introduce Ridley’s Porch as a very welcome addition to the thriving Sarasota dining scene.”

Open daily for lunch and dinner, the menu features dishes from both land and sea with an array of light bites, sandwiches, salads, seafood favorites, and prime cuts of meat. For lunch, guests will find items such as Conch Chowder and Pineapple-Sriracha Chicken to start, as well as Ridley’s Porch twists on classic favorites such as a Cuban Sandwich, Crab Cake Sandwich, and Black Angus Burger. A selection of menu items will be available throughout the day by the pool or on the beach at The Lido Key Tiki Bar.

For dinner, coastal fare ranges from Pan Seared Crab Cake with blistered jalapeno cream corn, marinated hearts of palm, and piquillo pepper coulis, Riley’s Porch Seafood Pasta with mussels, blue crab, tiger shrimp, and bacon to Cast Iron Sea Scallop with creamy risotto, roasted cauliflower and red beet fondue. Poultry and Steak that appear on the menu are prepared and tailored to the preferences of each guest, choosing from blackened, grilled, pan seared or cooked with peppercorn and garnished with a range of sauces and sides.

Cocktails include new takes on beachside classics such as the Scorched Jalapeno Margarita and Honeydew Daiquiri along with inventive offerings like the Old Rocking Chair with Mote Marine Laboratory Sun Brewed Tea, choice of bourbon or vodka, fresh squeezed lemonade, and flavors of hibiscus, coconut, rose petals, apple and pineapple. In an effort to support local conservation efforts, a portion of the proceeds from the Old Rocking Chair cocktail go forth to benefit Mote Marine Laboratory and their work monitoring and protecting turtles in the beginning stages of their life, including the Kemps Ridley and Loggerhead species that nest at The Beach Club.

Save room for dessert with decadent treats such as The “Ridley” Carrot Cake with cream cheese icing, butterscotch caramel and candied pecan, Ridley’s Special Artisan Ice Cream Sandwich with flavors changing each week, or Kid’s “Sand” Buckets with chocolate chip cookie crumbs, layered with vanilla pudding and a chocolate lollipop.

Ridley’s Porch is open for lunch seven days a week from 11 am – 3 pm and dinner Wednesday through Saturday from 5 pm until 9 pm. For more information about The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota and Ridley’s Porch, please visit or call (941) 309-2000.
