Choose From Among Bay, Skyline and Park Views
Suites & Rooms
The modernist design of our 147 rooms and 20 suites takes inspiration from Fukuoka’s unique sense of place. Playful references to the local arts of woven bamboo and Hakata-ori silks, and to the locale’s centuries-old role as a gateway between southwestern Japan and the Asian continent, are found in the finishes and artworks. Situated on the 19th to the 23rd floors, our accommodations begin at a generous size of 50 square meters and offer the choice of bay, skyline, and park views.
A Warm Welcome
Upon arrival, guests of our suites and rooms with Club Floor privileges are ushered to the relaxed setting of the Ritz-Carlton Club, where dedicated Club staff are always on hand to provide personalized care. During check-in, sit back with a refreshing welcome drink of Yame-grown black tea blended with yuzu peel and plum syrup—the first of many spectacular local flavors to enjoy during your stay in Fukuoka.
Time Out With a Book and Sweets
After a busy morning of sightseeing or meetings, return to the Club Lounge high above the city streets to relax with a book from our library and the sweet and savory tastes of our seasonal afternoon tea.
Wind Down Your Day in Style
Our hors d’oeuvres presentation includes light snacks to tide you over before dinnertime, while the after-dinner sweets and cordials service includes glasses of our private-label champagne and fun cocktails like the Matcha Mojito, made with premium Yame-grown green tea.
Jazz on Fridays
With its bar and private room as well, the Ritz-Carlton Club is a convenient venue for business and social gatherings. Join us for live jazz performances on Friday nights—order your favorite drinks at the bar and let the swinging sounds carry you away.
Unwind with Eggs Benedict or another favorite breakfast dish on the hotel’s sun-filled top floor. Premium local ingredients sourced from around Kyushu are showcased here together with popular breads hot from the oven, and the refrigerator is filled with chilled fruits. What better way is there to start the day than with a relaxed, residential-style meal in a setting filled with the warm light of the morning sun.
Eat Like the Locals
Fukuoka has a vibrant food culture renowned for hearty dishes that have a strong sense of place. Should weather or scheduling prevent you from stepping out to enjoy lunch on the town, no worries—we feature classic Fukuoka favorites on our lunch menu at the Club.
The Ritz-Carlton Suite
Our largest guest residence at 188 square meters in size, The Ritz-Carlton Suite is complete with its own kitchen and a dining room that seats eight, enabling leisurely private meals in generous comfort. At bath time, stretch out in a tub that overlooks a sparkling view of Hakata Bay. Natural woods underscore the refined ambience and minimalist design, the whole complemented by an elegant selection of books on Japanese culture and crafts.
The Presidential Suite on our 23rd floor offers stunning views throughout its 132 square meters. Scenes of Hakata Bay and its passing ships unfold before you in the bedroom, while a striking bank of windows in the living room overlooks the lush greenery of Ohori Park, the Fukuoka cityscape, and the Sefuri and Tsukushi mountain ranges beyond.
From the mythical Hizen guardian dogs that greet you at the entrance, to the bamboo basketry adorning the living spaces and the Hakata-ori textiles covering the sliding doors in the bedroom, the Premium Suite is a celebration of Kyushu legends and art. Even the herringbone pattern of the natural wood flooring in this 87-square-meter residence is its subtle nod to proud local weaving traditions.
