Choose From Among Bay, Skyline and Park Views
Suites & Rooms
The modernist design of our 147 rooms and 20 suites takes inspiration from Fukuoka’s unique sense of place. Playful references to the local arts of woven bamboo and Hakata-ori silks, and to the locale’s centuries-old role as a gateway between southwestern Japan and the Asian continent, are found in the finishes and artworks. Situated on the 19th to the 23rd floors, our accommodations begin at a generous size of 50 square meters and offer the choice of bay, skyline, and park views.
Folding screens, sculptures, paintings, and textured weavings throughout the hotel’s spaces tell a story of Fukuoka’s deep connections with the Asian continent. From the earliest recorded history, Hakata Bay was both a jump-off and entry point for mariners, monks, and merchants traveling the Silk Road trade routes. Our design program celebrates this sense of place, evoking grandeur through carefully layered expressions of such craft traditions as weaving, lacquerware, ceramics, and bamboo art, and in the works of Fukuoka-born and Japan-based artists.
