With its steep slopes, daunting crags and lush greenery, the Sintra-Cascais on the Lisbon Coast is the embodiment of an environmental heritage that must be preserved. Two wild species — mimosas and acacias — are rapidly overtaking endangered native flora. Parque Natural Sintra Cascais, who develops and monitors the nature reserve in the Sintra and Cascais area and monitors all vegetation and wildlife in the region, invite you to participate in removing the invasive plant growth and restore the health of the ecosystem. All of the volunteer activities are appropriate for both children and adults.
