Resting at the edge of the Reserve Valley, with sweeping views of the majestic Ayung River, Sawah Terrace captures the essence of Ubud like few other restaurants. Here, we proudly highlight the rich flavors of Indonesian cuisine and evoke an authentic experience by celebrating traditional dining customs in Bali. Signature specialties infused with the distinctive flavors of the archipelago include:

  • Sumatra: slow-cooked beef cheek in coconut, tamarin scented rendang curry and cassava leaf - “Rendang Pipi Sapi”
  • Sulawesi: Red snapper, coconut and turmeric light stew, belimbing and kemangi -“Ikan Kakap Woku”
  • Bali - Lawar Klungah: green coconut shell salad, bumbu genep, shallot and ginger.
  • Java - Bebek Goreng Bacem: Javanese style braised and deep fried duck, tamarind and palm sugar sauce.

Every dish is meticulously prepared with fresh herbs and vegetables from the resort's organic garden to ensure a rich immersion in the flavors of Ubud.
