Children's Programs

Our Ritz Kids AquaNuts program offers a variety of supervised physical and creative activities designed especially for children aged 5 to 12. This unique facility is all about discovery and creativity both indoors and outdoors. With a dedicated playroom, computers, music and costumes, kids are going to love being under the sea at AquaNuts where the themes change throughout the week. Offering full or half-day options, AquaNuts has something for every child, including: sports, games, arts and crafts, swimming pool play, and nature tours.

All-day camp is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. including a lunch. Our half day camp includes lunch and is offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch for morning or afternoon half day campers is from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Kids Night Out is a great chance for parents to enjoy some time alone together while the children have an evening with those their own age. It is available on most Friday and Saturday nights from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and includes dinner.

Bath Science
Who needs magic, when you have our extraordinary floating science lab of test tubes and beakers. Bath time has never been so much fun!

Spill, mix, pour and watch as your experiments froth, swirl and change color…the bubble bath will contain it all!  Keep hard-working little scientists happy with our Jell-O Marshmallow juice injectors and a tropical punch.

Family Pillow Fight
Enjoy a fun and lively turndown treat that will have guests of all ages having a blast with a pillow fight. Guests are armed with a bag of 30 brightly-colored tiny silk pillows, miniature boxing gloves and game ideas to rally the fun with great hints to make it a memorable night for good-natured sibling rivalry or parents vs. kids. Family Pillow Fight includes milk and cookies for encouragement and a sweet treat for the ultimate pillow-pelting champion.  Both parents and children enjoy the quest to be the champion while still winding down from an action packed day.

For our teenaged guests 13 to 17 Coast is the first of its kind Teen lounge. They can create their own DJ mix and upload it to their iPod, play video games, surf the internet, play billiards, or just hang out and play pool or Guitar Hero. On many nights, Coast becomes a teen-friendly club with music and dancing.

Beauty@Coast is an upscale salon for teens where make-up application, hair styling, manicures, dress-up and more can be commemorated with a glamour shot.

Wizards of the Lagoon

Wand Making Class, Fizzing Potions, Face Painting, Magic Spells….a sprinkling of fairly dust and a wave of the wand make this magical and mystical day come to life. Join other wizards and witches for a day of fun and sorcery and lunch.

Tuesday:

Tales of the High Seas

Swords, Tiaras, Crowns!  Climbing Wall Game: Cinders go to the Ball, Tie Dye T-Shirts, Pool Time and Diving for Magic Beans…build the biggest and grandest sandcastle on the beach! Lunch is served to all princes and princesses.

Wednesday:

Super Heroes

“POW” “SPLAT” “BAM” KERRPLOW”, Fight the villains of the sea and be an AquaNuts Superhero!  Paint and decorate your own superhero action t-shirt. Summon your Superhero secret powers, grab your Big Shot Water Guns and battle at the Pool! Lunch is served for all those saving the world.

Thursday: 

Spy Day

Sssssh!  Play Mission Impossible.  Be a super sleuth and solve the mystery at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach. Find a disguise for each spy. Discover the hidden envelope and decode the secret note and then follow the instructions. 

Whisper clues to your spy-friends over the walkie-talkies and act out your mystery solving abilities on stage. Play Finger Print Scavenger Hunt. Sssssh! Top secret! Lunch is served for all crime solvers.

Friday:

Atlantis

Make like a fish and swim undersea in our themed underwater Atlantis adventure.  Build a sea turtle out of sand or decorate a fish. 

Make wind chimes, play games in the pool, talk about our sponsored turtle, Gilda and learn about their habitat. Send messages in a bottle. Lunch is served to all seafaring explorers.

Saturday: 

Treasure Island

Act like a Pirate! Wear eye patches, hats and swords! Enjoy a day of fun and discovery with treasure maps, face painting and costumes. Play Scavenger Hunt and look for buried treasure and underwater treasure in the pool, hide behind palm trees! Story telling about the Jolly Rodger and make your own pirate flags, The Pirate’s picnic will be served to all.

Nutcracker Tea
Saturdays, December 5, 12, and 19, 2009; 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
A Ritz-Carlton tradition—a special Afternoon Tea Party for the young and young at heart featuring Clara, the Mouse King and Sugar Plum Fairies plus a visit from Santa Claus.  Includes a Ritz-Carlton gingerbread house. 
$65 per person plus tax and service charge

Breakfast with Santa
Sundays, December 6, 13, and 20, 2009; 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
A perfect opportunity for a visit with St. Nick, children and their parents will enjoy a bountiful breakfast buffet with the jolly man himself. Breakfast will be located in Angle.

Santa Tuck-ins
Our littlest overnight guests on Christmas Eve are in for a real treat with Santa Tuck-Ins!  Santa Claus comes to your room bearing gifts and candy canes to tuck in the kids and read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas”, before “he springs to his sleigh” to finish his evening duties.  Merry Christmas!

AquaNuts New Year’s Eve Carnival 2009
Do your kids love playing games for prizes and hopping around in a bounce house? Then the AquaNuts Carnival is just for them…….

Have the little ladies and gentlemen join us for a night of fun and games
from 8 p.m. – 1 a.m., while you enjoy yourselves!

The night will include buffet style carnival food, carnival games and prizes,
arts & crafts, relay races, music and much much more!

Dinner and Dessert is included; For Children ages 5 – 12. Please register with the Recreation Department at extension 4833 by December 28 at 12 p.m.
