Tipping

Climate
• Spring – In March, the average temperatures range from the low thirties to the mid forties, April sees temperatures in the mid forties to low sixties and May temperatures range from the mid fifties to low seventies.
• Summer – Summer sees temperatures range from the low seventies to the low nineties. The weather can be very warm and humid with temperatures sometimes reaching to the upper nineties.
• Fall – September and October temperatures average in the sixties and seventies and drop to the fifties come November.
• Winter – The winter months are mildly cold with average temperatures in the forties and fifties, though at night it gets colder.
Clothing
• Spring – You’ll want to bring a light jacket or warm sweater for the cooler climate.
• Summer – Bring short sleeves and sunscreen to help with the summertime sun.
• Fall - A light jacket or warm sweater should be brought if traveling at this time of year.
• Winter – At this time of year you’ll want to bring sweaters, a coat, hat and gloves. The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park food and beverage outlets’ recommended attire is sophisticated casual.

Hertz and Avis have offices in Battery Park City. Rates start from $70.00 per day on a weekday and start from $100.00 per day on a weekend day. Please note these rates are subject to change.
Parking
Metered parking is limited in the area. Valet parking is $45.00 for up to 10 hours and $60.00 for up to 24 hours. For SUV/oversized vehicles please add an additional $5.00 fee per night. There are parking garages in the area with rates starting from $30.00 for up to 10 hours. Please note these rates are subject to change.
Buses
Buses are $2.00 per ride. The buses run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Trains
• Subway Trains are $2.00 per ride.
• Subway – 4, 5 trains at Bowling Green Station. 1,R,W at Rector St.
• Taking the subway is the fastest way to travel in New York City and runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park is 3 miles from where Amtrak departs at Pennsylvania Station.
