The hotel will operate a limousine service to Dublin for guests who wish to explore the city’s many attractions. A taxi service will also operate from the resort at Powerscourt.
Smoking has been banned in the workplace in Ireland since 2004. This essentially means that smoking is prohibited in any venue that employs people such as: bars, night clubs, restaurants, offices, factories, shops and so on. Most bars, restaurants and clubs now operate an outdoor heated smoking area for customers who wish to smoke.
The Ritz-Carlton, Powerscourt is a non-smoking hotel, outside smoking areas are available.
Irish cuisine has improved greatly over the last ten years and many traditional dishes are now served with renewed sophistication and flair. Fabulously fresh fish and vegetables, mostly organic, feature heavily on Irish menus in addition to fine local meats such as beef and lamb. The surrounding area of Powerscourt Estate and the city of Dublin have a fantastic representation of international and ethnic cuisine.

The legal age for the consumption of alcohol in Ireland is 18; although, some venues operate policies whereby they restrict admittance to customers who are not at least 21. Children are prohibited from entering any premises that serves alcohol after 6 p.m. This law refers to pubs and bars and is not strictly enforced in restaurants.
There is no strict dress code at The Ritz-Carlton Powerscourt, County Wicklow and we welcome our guests to dress in whatever clothes make them feel comfortable and relaxed. A jacket and tie are not required at dinner; although, many guests prefer to dress up if celebrating a special occasion or stepping out to enjoy a wonderful meal.
The climate in Ireland is temperate and there are no great extremes of hot or cold. Summers are warm and winters are mild. Temperatures range from an average of 37 degrees in winter to 65 degrees in summer.
