Hugging the shores of southern Spain’s Costa del Sol, the historic town of Marbella provides a blissful mingling of beach and rolling hills, village-like charm and cosmopolitan excitement.
June 11th is a historic date for Marbella. On this day in 1405, the town was re-conquered from the Moors, an oppressive force that captured most of the Costa del Sol. After the victory, residents celebrated and the story was inscribed on the town hall. This inscription is still visible and legible today.
In modern times, Marbella retains this proud spirit and is waiting to share it with their visitors. Now a bustling resort town, the town features fine dining and authentic Andalusian fare, interesting boutiques and, of course, miles of shining beaches.
