At The Ritz-Carlton, we are proud to share our best practices to support our communities. Our Essentials of Service customer service training lesson was developed to enable our employees to support our non-profit partner organizations and partner schools and to inspire them to provide excellent service to their stakeholders. Succeed Through Service skills-based mentoring program leverages our award-winning employee training and development programs to engage and inspire young students.
It is our hope that by sharing our programs on an open source, non-proprietary basis, we will inspire others to get involved in supporting communities, and helping young students flourish.
Essentials of Service
The Essentials of Service training program was developed through a partnership between The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center and Community Footprints as a resource to help our community partners improve service levels to their stakeholders (volunteers, community, business partners, funders, etc.). Delivering a more professional service experience will assist community partners in achieving their mission.
The program’s content covers the essentials of a positive service environment including:
- general service principles;
- making a good first impression in person and on the phone;
- the importance of active listening skills;
- and workplace manners for creating a positive environment with co-workers.
Succeed Through Service Toolkit
This toolkit will help establish school/private sector partnerships and engage employees in a sustainable volunteer program that introduces at-risk students to career options, essential life-skills and civic responsibility.
