As Jean-Michel Cousteau says, “All kids start out as scientists, constantly asking ‘Why? What’s that? How does it work?’” Ritz Kids resort experiences tap into that innate curiosity by introducing our youngest guests to both the natural wonders and the rich cultural traditions of our resort locations. Immersive and adventurous, the San Juan family resort experiences provide your child with enthralling activities to reward their interest in the beauty and workings of the world we live in. With a diverse collection of activities based on the four pillars of the program – water, land, environmental responsibility and culture – kids are swept away by everything from coral reefs and forests, to recycling and sustainability, storytelling, art and even food.

Our Ritz Kids program introduces our young guests to the natural wonders of the island through a variety of environmental responsibility adventures. Designed for children ages 4 through 12, the supervised program entertains kids with educational games and activities featuring different themes throughout the week.

Ritz Kids® is an engaging and immersive experience that builds upon the adventures of travel your child will always treasure. Ritz Kids is for children between the ages of 4 and 12. Leveraging our exclusive partnership with Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society and his unique environmental expertise, we’ve crafted experiences that appeal to your child’s innate love of discovery and sense of curiosity. Your child is exposed to an array of environmentally focused activities that foster interaction with the world in which they live. The content is as diverse as the natural world around us, and is tailored specifically to intrigue and thrill bright young minds.

The Ritz Kids program provides hands-on, interactive learning and fun in an assortment of nature-themed activities. Sample programs include:

Coral Reefs: - Cities Under the Sea - Want to learn why a coral reef is really a city under the sea? Then come join us as we have fun, playing games like Race to the Reef, while exploring the inner workings of a coral reef. Discover who the security guard is, who the doctor is and who is responsible for keeping it all clean. The answers will surprise you!

Sharks! - Whether you are fascinated by or scared of the world of sharks, this activity is for you. Through a variety of games, activities and videos, we learn about different kinds of sharks, why sharks are so misunderstood and how sharks are important to us and to the ocean.

Trash Bash - When we throw something away, where is away? What really happens to our trash? Is all trash created equal? Find out the answers to these questions and more as we learn how to help save our planet through art, games and, you guessed it, TRASH! How does our trash affect the world around us and what can we do to help?

Things We Eat - Delve into varieties of food, where they come from and who eats what. Look at strange foods people eat around the world and be shocked by how far some of our own food travels.  Through a variety of unique activities and games, we will have you asking, “What exactly are the things we eat?”

Myths and Legends - This activity offers a chance to discover how and why myths came to be and look at inspiring legends from around the world. Investigate what is a hero and how not all heroes are legends of old. They still exist today! Who are some heroes in your life? Create your own story to share and inspire.

When Cultures Meet - Gain an appreciation of the many diverse cultures around the globe and imagine what it would be like to discover a new culture for the first time. This activity focuses on understanding the value of our unique differences through active games, stories and art projects.

Forests - Forests are not only beautiful and important to us, but are also the habitats of a remarkable variety of animals. Explore the diversity of forests and their unique creatures through activities such as Forest Tag, the Web of Life Game and Guess Your Animal. Discover the importance of forests, while you imagine and create your own forest.

Food Fun - Why do we have to eat our vegetables? Understand more about what’s healthy and what’s not, as well as how what we eat affects our body. Play games that take us into the world of gardens, farms and food as we explore our options when it comes to our meals and how can we do what's best for the earth and ourselves.
